The golden rule is comfort and confidence.
- Colors: Solid, mid-tone colors (blue, green, wine, grey) generally photograph best. Avoid neon colors or "safety orange" as they can reflect onto your skin.
- Patterns: Keep it simple. Busy patterns or tiny stripes can cause a "moiré effect" (a weird dizzying shimmer) in digital photos.
- Fit: Ensure your clothes are tailored and pressed. Camera lenses pick up wrinkles easily!
It’s best to get your hair cut 5–7 days before your session. This gives your hair a chance to "settle" and looks more natural than a fresh-out-of-the-chair chop.
- Natural is better: Aim for a "polished version of your daily self."
- Avoid SPF/Shimmer: Products with high SPF or heavy shimmer can cause "flashback," making your face look oily or white under studio lights.
- Matte is your friend: A little translucent powder goes a long way in cutting down shine on the forehead and nose.
Absolutely. Most people feel like a "deer in headlights" at first. I will guide you through every micro-adjustment—from tilting your chin to shifting your weight—to find your most flattering angles.
A standard headshot session typically lasts between 30 to 60 minutes, depending on how many outfit changes we have planned.
Yes! We usually "tether" the camera to a monitor so we can review the shots in real-time. This helps us adjust your hair, tie, or expression on the fly.
Yes, but we keep it "honest." Standard retouching includes:
- Removing temporary blemishes (pimples or stray hairs).
- Softening heavy under-eye circles.
- Whitening teeth slightly.
Note: We don't believe in making you look like a plastic mannequin. You should still look like you.
You’ll receive a gallery of proofs within 2 business days. Once you select your favorites, the final retouched images are usually delivered via a digital download link within 5–7 business days.
You receive a commercial usage license, which means you can use the photos for LinkedIn, company websites, press releases, and marketing materials.
